Mike Mayr is the heart, owner and managing director of DA F.U.N.K. DANCE STUDIOS. As German champion, European hip-hop champion and state-certified stage choreographer, he delivers the absolute vision. Every move, every choreo at workshops, shows or fashion shows bears his signature: 100 % made by Mike Mayr.
His creativity knows no limits – and goes far beyond the floor. He not only produces and edits all DA F.U.N.K. videos himself, but also brings his style to the big screen: in the hit film “Girl You Know It’s True” (Simon Verhoeven's Milli Vanilli box-office hit), all dance scenes are his work. With the DA F.U.N.K. Mastercrew he delivered support acts for absolute icons like Justin Timberlake, Usher and Janet Jackson and choreographed for global brands like Mercedes, Microsoft and Reebok.
What began as a vision is today a huge movement: with its home base in Augsburg and over 30 locations from Hamburg to Munich, DA F.U.N.K. is a state-recognised educational institution for professional dance. Whether big events, mega workshops or the 24/7 online dance school – anyone who sees Mike live on stage feels it immediately: dance is his life.
