Our current contest crew has just impressively proven that our new crew concept is a smash hit: in its very first year, the team took a sensational 1st place at the Südcup – and secured direct qualification for the German Championship at the South German Championship!
Now DA F.U.N.K. DANCE STUDIOS is opening its doors to the next generation of exceptional talent. Want to stand at the top of the podium too, compete with the best and thrill the audience at our big shows? Then this is your chance!
The casting is for every suitable – whether you already dance with us or want to join us as a brand-new non-member.
The concept
What are the Contest Show Crews?
We're combining the best of two worlds: the previous show crews and the contest crew become the new, top-class Contest Show Crews. For you that means: everyone dances everything! As a crew member you're firmly scheduled both for top-class championships and for a key role in our spectacular musicals and shows.
The hard facts
Training, age groups & fees
The crews are divided fairly and professionally by age and skill level. Joining one of our crews requires regular class attendance at DA F.U.N.K. These are the extra training sessions on top of the regular class:
Team Kidz
1.5 hours of intensive extra crew training
Friday, 4:30 – 6:00 pm
€34.00 / month
Teens / Juniors
2 hours of intensive extra crew training
Friday, 6:00 – 8:00 pm
€45.00 / month
Adults (16+)
2 hours of intensive extra crew training
Friday, 6:00 – 8:00 pm

Important note on age groups
The crews' age groups follow the official championship rules and are completely independent of your regular classes! So you may already dance in the “Teens” class but, due to your age, still fall into “Team Kidz” for the crew. Don't worry – it doesn't matter at all: in the crews we create completely separate, special championship and show choreographies that have nothing to do with the content of the normal classes.
Extra fact – please note
In addition to the monthly fees, there are costs for matching crew outfits as well as later entry fees for championships, travel and possible overnight stays, which are borne by the participants themselves.

How your casting works
You don't need to prepare anything of your own – it's this easy:
Learn the choreo
Together we work out a strong, high-energy choreography right there on the spot.
Showtime
You present the choreo you've learned in a flexible small group so we can see your potential at its best.
Get-together
We may follow up with a short, relaxed chat about your level, your experience and your motivation.
The decision
No nail-biting on site: you'll get the result by email during the following week.
Your summer special
Ideal preparation during the holidays
Want to be perfectly prepared in September? No problem! Use the summer to work intensively on your skills during our open training hours in the summer holidays. An experienced DA F.U.N.K. trainer is always on site to support you with valuable tips, tricks and feedback (see the holiday schedule for member training).
